This is a Primary School job.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our friendly primary school in Northampton. A sports coach plays a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among young children, supporting both PE lessons and wider pupil wellbeing. You will plan and deliver engaging PE sessions across all year groups, developing pupils’ movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, balance, and coordination. The role includes leading before or after-school clubs, promoting active play, and preparing pupils for school competitions. You’ll encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence while reinforcing healthy living through the PSHE curriculum.

- Contract Type: Full Time 08:30 to 14:00 term time

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone energetic, organised, and passionate about working with children, with strong communication and motivational skills. An understanding of child development, safeguarding, and inclusion is essential, along with the ability to adapt lessons for different abilities.
