4myschools are looking for a Teacher of Technology to work at a secondary school in Fakenham, Norfolk.
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Technology to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Fakenham, Norfolk, from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive, well-equipped environment.
Key Responsibilities for a Teacher of Technology:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching may be available depending on experience).
- Teach a range of technology subjects, such as Design & Technology, Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Food Technology (depending on specialism).
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and carers.
- Contribute to curriculum development and support the implementation of innovative teaching strategies.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Support extra-curricular and enrichment activities that enhance the student learning experience.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, training, and events.
- Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards qualification (e.g., PGCE/ITT route).
- A degree or relevant qualification in a related subject (e.g., Design & Technology, Engineering, or a similar discipline).
- Passion for teaching and a strong subject knowledge in your area of specialism.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential for early-career teachers.
