4myschools are looking for a Teacher of Technology to work at a secondary school in Fakenham, Norfolk.

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Technology to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Fakenham, Norfolk, from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive, well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities for a Teacher of Technology:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching may be available depending on experience).
  • Teach a range of technology subjects, such as Design & Technology, Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Food Technology (depending on specialism).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and carers.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and support the implementation of innovative teaching strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support extra-curricular and enrichment activities that enhance the student learning experience.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, training, and events.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards qualification (e.g., PGCE/ITT route).
  • A degree or relevant qualification in a related subject (e.g., Design & Technology, Engineering, or a similar discipline).
  • Passion for teaching and a strong subject knowledge in your area of specialism.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential for early-career teachers.
