This is a fantastic opportunity to work across all primary age ranges, supporting pupils in the classroom, in small groups and on a one‑to‑one basis. The school is a nurturing, community‑focused setting that places a strong emphasis on positive relationships, inclusive practice and helping every child to achieve their potential. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learning activities planned by the class teacher, promoting engagement, reinforcing behaviour expectations and helping pupils to feel safe, confident and motivated throughout the school day. You may also support children with additional needs, adapting activities where required and contributing to a calm, purposeful learning environment.

• Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term)
• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 to 3:30
• Age groups: Primary School

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or through clearly transferrable experience such as childcare, youth work, coaching, care or family support roles. Experience across any primary age group is welcome, and a positive, flexible attitude is essential. You will be patient, reliable and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing, with a good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries. This is a temporary role during term time, working school hours, and candidates must be able to travel reliably to Harlow.
