We are supporting a small, specialist SEMH school near Romford with the recruitment of Teaching Assistants to join their growing team. The school provides a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs and has recently expanded into Key Stage Two, with further growth planned across primary and secondary phases. Small class sizes, a strong focus on wellbeing, and an enriching curriculum make this a rewarding and supportive place to work.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for calm, patient, and compassionate Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs. You should be resilient, empathetic, and committed to helping pupils build confidence, regulate emotions, and engage with learning. Previous experience in education, care, or youth work is beneficial but not essential — the right attitude and willingness to learn are key.
