4myschools are looking for a Year 5 Teacher to work at a Primary School in Sawbridgeworth, Herts.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join our warm and welcoming primary school in Sawbridgeworth. This is a maternity cover role starting in September 2025, lasting for two terms (until Easter 2026).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT to make a meaningful impact on a lively and motivated class within a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities for a Music Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils to achieve their best
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
- Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and teaching assistants
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, events, and parent communication
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong organisational and communication abilities
- A caring and professional approach, with a commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing
- Willingness to contribute to the school community and work as part of a team
- An enhanced childworkforce DBS or willing to obtain one
