New opening! Primary Supply Teacher – Colchester

We are recruiting qualified primary teachers for full‑time daily supply roles across EYFS and Key Stage 1 in primary schools within the Braintree area. This position offers consistent, full‑time supply work for teachers who enjoy working with younger pupils and providing continuity during short‑term staff absences. Teachers will be placed in welcoming school environments where they are expected to follow pre‑planned lessons, support early learning and development, and contribute positively to the school day. This role is well suited to those seeking regular work while maintaining the variety that supply teaching offers.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified primary teacher with a nurturing approach and confidence working within EYFS and KS1 settings. You will be patient, adaptable, and able to establish positive routines quickly to support young learners’ engagement and wellbeing. A good understanding of early learning principles and age‑appropriate classroom management is important, along with a flexible and reliable attitude. This role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs who enjoy supporting pupils in the early stages of their education.

Requirements for this role

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply.

Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable).

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
