The response time to an email is super fast (even at weekends!) and Paul couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. We often hear of many uncomfortable experiences where candidates are treated as commodities rather than valued members of the contingent workforce.

We’re a supply teaching agency that works tirelessly to ensure our candidates are placed in the right teaching environment and paid fairly, often to scale.

Supply teaching

Daily supply teaching jobs tend to follow the same core teaching responsibilities as a permanent teacher. Within this role, you’re expected to follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher and teach pupils in accordance with the national curriculum.

Within this role, you are expected to be adaptable to different teaching methods that match the school placement. Supply teaching jobs allow you to work with lots of different children at different levels in their development. Daily tasks will vary from day to day, depending on your school placement.

Long term supply teaching jobs will usually involve the same responsibilities as a permanent teacher including planning, marking and assessment.

Within a long term supply role, you are treated as one of the school team albeit you are not employed by them. We will liaise with the school from the outset to get you pay parity, usually to scale from day one.

One of the best parts about this agency is the booking app where you can alter your availability and it adds your bookings to a calendar along with the details of the school which makes it easy to know exactly where you’re going and who the point of contact is for the school. The process was straightforward and experienced staff were there every step of the way to guide me through the process. As soon as I registered, I began to receive offers of work. So far, I have never had less than atleast a days notice of work- which works really well for my family. I have found all the staff to be friendly and approachable. When I have arrived at the school, the work has been there ready for me - which is evidence of the good communication between the agency and the school hiring me. I would certainly recommend 4myschools to any other teacher that is thinking of giving supply a try. I feel that my preferences are listened to and I have never feel under any pressure to accept jobs that I don't want to do. In summary, lovely people, highly professional and a great work life balance for the teacher. Would particularly sing out the praises of Syvonne who really looks after her teachers.

The team are friendly, approachable, and genuinely supportive, which makes supply work feel far less stressful. As I’m currently transitioning out of teaching, 4myschools has been an ideal way to bridge that gap, allowing me to keep working flexibly while moving towards a new career. Their Availability Grid app is particularly useful and makes it very easy to log availability and manage work around other commitments. I found the whole recruitment, induction and engagement process with 4Myschools, very positive and productive. I have completed my first TA placement just before Christmas. Bryony Lopez as my main contact has always been available and quick to answer any questions any concerns. She actively pushed for my placement into a school. I have been registered with 4myschools as a supply teacher, with the Chelmsford branch since September 2025. Jemma has been my point of contact and she has found me a great deal of work, which has fitted in with my plans. She regularly keeps in touch with me to check that I am happy with my assignments. When 4MySchools contacted me, I was working for three other agencies as I had not long left full time teaching and I need to work 5 days a week for financial reasons. 4My Schools has provided me with supply work every day since, except for a couple of days at the start of the school year when no teacher wants to be away from a new class. Paul has made sure that I’ve been able to build up some regular schools, within a reasonable distance, often sends advance bookings (I severely dislike mornings when I’m waiting to know if and where I’m going) and has responded to any communication I’ve sent promptly - at whatever time it’s been! I was worried about agency work and doing supply generally - there are some downsides to both and I’m still not overly fond of supply teaching - but working for one agency makes it easier and being able to organise a booking without a phone call is a huge plus. On several occasions when I have had difficulties with a booking, the other staff at 4MySchools have also responded efficiently and been supportive.
