As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will; Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities, work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development, help create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment, encourage children’s social, emotional, and academic development, assist with classroom preparation and daily routines, support children with varying learning needs, and foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children in an Early Years or primary school setting, has a nurturing and patient approach, understands the importance of play-based learning within Reception, can build positive relationships with young children, has excellent communication and teamwork skills, holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) and has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
