Immediate opportunity! Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Primary) – South Woodham Ferris

4myschools are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community where staff are committed to helping every child achieve their full potential in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The school prides itself on creating a positive culture that promotes curiosity, confidence and a love of learning, while placing strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing and high educational standards. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider staff team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities will include delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading small group interventions, supporting pupils with varying learning needs, assessing pupil progress, and helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where all children can thrive. You will provide targeted support for pupils who require additional academic intervention or SEND support, contribute to planning and preparation of learning activities, promote positive behaviour throughout the school, and help ensure that pupils remain engaged and motivated in their learning. The successful candidate will be confident supporting a broad primary curriculum and able to adapt their approach to meet the needs of learners across different year groups.

  • Contract duration: Ongoing
  • Contract type: PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30-3:30

The ideal candidate
