New opening! KS1 Primary Supply Teacher – Norwich

The ideal candidate is a teacher who genuinely loves the energy, curiosity, and unpredictability that comes with Key Stage 1. You’ll be someone who can walk into a new classroom, quickly put children at ease, and create a positive learning environment where pupils feel confident, engaged, and ready to learn. You may be an experienced KS1 practitioner looking for greater flexibility, a recently retired teacher wanting to stay connected to the classroom, or a teacher seeking exposure to a variety of schools before securing your next long-term role. Whatever your background, you’ll be someone who embraces new challenges and enjoys making a difference from day one. You will have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and be confident supporting children through those crucial early years of their educational journey. Whether delivering a phonics session, guiding children through foundational maths concepts, or encouraging a love of reading and writing, you will bring enthusiasm, patience, and creativity to every lesson. Beyond your teaching ability, you’ll be approachable, adaptable, and professional, with the confidence to build rapport quickly with pupils, support staff, and school leaders alike. You’ll understand that successful supply teaching is about more than covering a class; it’s about providing continuity, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every child receives a positive learning experience. This role is particularly suited to teachers who enjoy meeting new people, experiencing different school cultures, and expanding their professional network. Working across a range of primary schools in Norwich will allow you to showcase your skills directly to leadership teams, often leading to longer-term assignments, maternity covers, and permanent opportunities that may never reach the open job market. If you’re a positive, resilient, and passionate KS1 Teacher who enjoys variety and wants the freedom to choose when and where you work while opening doors to exciting future career opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term)
  • Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and adaptable KS1 Teacher who thrives on helping young learners build the foundations for lifelong success. You will be confident delivering engaging lessons across Year 1 and Year 2, creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where every child can flourish. You will possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics, early reading, writing, and mathematics. More importantly, you’ll have the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils, seamlessly adapt to different school settings, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning from the moment you walk through the door. This role is perfect for teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility. Whether you are an experienced classroom practitioner looking for a better work-life balance, a recently retired teacher seeking occasional work, or someone looking to gain exposure to a wider range of schools, you will appreciate the opportunity to make a positive impact in different educational environments. The successful candidate will be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic, with excellent classroom management skills and a genuine passion for primary education. You will be comfortable stepping into new classrooms, following school procedures, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day. You’ll also recognise the value of supply teaching as a powerful networking opportunity. By working across a variety of primary schools in Norwich, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills to senior leaders, build valuable professional relationships, and position yourself for future long-term, permanent, and leadership opportunities that may arise.
