Are you a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for a part-time morning role in Witham? We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking an EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join their team, working mornings only from 8:15am to 12:30pm. In this role, you will support children within the EYFS classroom, working with individuals and small groups to help them engage in learning and develop their confidence and independence. You will assist with classroom activities, encourage children’s social and emotional development, and help create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced LSA or Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with younger children and is looking for a part-time, mornings-only position in Witham.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children within a school setting and be passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development. A good understanding of classroom practice, child development and strategies to support individual learning needs is desirable. Applicants must hold a minimum Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English and Maths and demonstrate a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach. Strong communication skills, reliability and a commitment to safeguarding are essential for this role. Due to the location, access to your own transport would be advantageous. Candidates should be available to work Monday to Friday during term time and be committed to helping children achieve their full potential in a positive and supportive learning environment.

What you’ll need to apply

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Level 3 Teaching Assistant 
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one, will be required alongside satisfactory employment references 
Monday to Friday, term time only
