4myschools are recruiting a Secondary School Teacher for a general cover position at a secondary school in Bishops Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and adaptable teacher looking to start as soon as possible within a supportive school environment. The role involves providing classroom cover across a range of subjects during the school day from 8:30am to 3:30pm. As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning. You will manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintain continuity in learning, and support students throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a flexible and professional teacher who enjoys working across different subjects and year groups. The successful candidate will be confident managing classrooms, building positive relationships with students, and adapting quickly to different teaching environments. Strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding are essential. Previous secondary school teaching or cover experience would be beneficial, along with QTS or equivilent teaching qualification.
