4myschools are delighted to be recruiting a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher for a full-time position starting in January at a welcoming and well-established infant and nursery school in the Hadleigh area. This exciting opportunity is available until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time only, you will take on full classroom responsibilities within a Reception class, delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The successful teacher will be responsible for planning, preparation and assessment, creating an inspiring learning environment, tracking pupil progress, attending staff meetings where required, maintaining strong communication with parents and carers, and ensuring all safeguarding and welfare requirements are met. This thriving infant and nursery setting is known for its inclusive and nurturing approach, offering children a safe, engaging environment in which to learn and develop. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, building confidence, independence and a love of learning during these crucial foundation years.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are seeking a qualified Reception Teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has recent experience teaching within EYFS. Applications are welcomed from experienced Reception Teachers and confident Early Years practitioners with strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development. You will demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, a creative and engaging teaching style, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. Candidates should hold a minimum of Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English and Maths, possess a strong understanding of safeguarding and assessment requirements, and be available to commit to the role from January through to the end of the academic year. Due to the location and daily travel requirements, access to reliable transport is desirable. A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting young learners are essential for success in this role.
