As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across your specialism or general curriculum subjects, following school planning where provided and ensuring pupils remain motivated and on task. You will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive learning environment, assessing pupil understanding throughout lessons, and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Assignments may range from covering pre-planned lessons to longer-term teaching roles where planning, marking, and attendance at school meetings may be required. You will work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing while adapting to different school settings across the local area.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools. We welcome applications from teachers of all subject specialisms, as well as experienced educators returning to the profession. Applicants must have a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths, excellent classroom management skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for supporting young people in their educational journey. Due to the nature of supply work across multiple schools, access to reliable transport is highly desirable. Candidates should be available to work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time, with flexibility for full-time or part-time commitments to suit individual circumstances.
