Immediate opportunity! Supply Teacher – SEN Primary – Mainstream – Wymondham

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for flexible SEN supply work in South Norfolk? At 4myschools, we are recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable SEN Primary Supply Teachers to support a range of welcoming mainstream schools, including Specialist Resource Base (SRB) units and SHIPS provisions. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced SEND practitioners as well as teachers holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who are keen to transition into Special Educational Needs teaching and gain valuable experience across a variety of educational settings. With assignments ranging from half-day bookings to full-time weeks, you’ll have the flexibility to choose work that suits your availability while making a meaningful difference to pupils with additional needs. In this role, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work closely with support staff and wider school teams to create a positive learning environment, ensure pupils remain engaged in learning, manage behaviour effectively, and promote pupil wellbeing. Opportunities may be available within mainstream classrooms, specialist bases and targeted intervention provisions, offering a varied and rewarding teaching experience. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, with the flexibility to accept assignments from half-day bookings through to five days per week.

  • Contract duration: Supply Teacher, Temporary (Short Term), Temporary (Long Term)
  • Contract type: PART_TIME, FULL_TIME – Hours: 08:30-3.:30

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers who hold QTS and have achieved a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths. Previous experience teaching within SEND, SRB, specialist provisions or mainstream primary settings would be highly advantageous; however, applications are equally encouraged from teachers who have a strong primary teaching background and are seeking to develop their SEND experience. The successful candidate will be compassionate, patient, resilient and confident adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs. Due to the nature of supply work across multiple schools in South Norfolk, applicants should have access to reliable transport and be willing to travel to different settings. Availability can range from occasional daily bookings to full working weeks, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers seeking flexibility alongside rewarding classroom experience.
