Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for work in Wickford? We are recruiting on behalf of a primary school seeking reliable and supportive Teaching Assistants to work across a range of year groups within the primary phase. Opportunities are available from 2nd November, with both daily supply and long-term positions available to suit different levels of availability. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across different year groups within the primary phase. This role involves assisting classroom teachers, supporting pupils with learning activities, preparing resources, and helping to maintain a positive classroom environment. Due to the flexible nature of the position, you may work in various classes depending on the school’s needs.

• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
• Age groups: Primary School

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for individuals who are confident supporting children in a classroom setting and can adapt to different year groups when required. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s development. Previous experience working with children or within an educational environment would be beneficial. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff and contribute effectively as part of a team is essential.
