We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school environment in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or an individual with strong knowledge of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is looking to make a meaningful difference in the classroom. Working closely with class teachers and the wider support team, you will assist pupils with their learning, help deliver engaging educational activities, promote positive behaviour, and provide both one-to-one and small group support. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities will include supporting children with additional learning needs, adapting resources where required, encouraging participation in lessons, monitoring progress, and contributing positively to the daily life of the classroom.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a reliable, caring, and proactive individual who has previous experience working with children within a school, educational, childcare, or SEND setting. Applicants should have a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths and be confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities. Knowledge and understanding of SEND, including supporting children with additional learning, communication, behavioural, or emotional needs, would be highly advantageous. You should be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while demonstrating patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills. Due to the nature of the role, access to reliable transport is preferred. Candidates must be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time. 4myschools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service is desirable.
