That’s why we’re looking for experienced Teaching Assistants, SEND Learning Support Assistants, and individuals with relevant transferable skills to join our team for planned, pre-booked assignments at a welcoming primary academy in Suffolk. Working 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only, you’ll have the opportunity to support pupils in a variety of ways, from assisting teachers within the classroom to providing dedicated 1:1 support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Assignments can range from 2 to 5 days per week, giving you flexibility alongside the security of advance notice bookings. You’ll be joining a larger-than-average primary academy with nursery provision that serves a diverse community and places inclusion, achievement and personal development at the heart of everything it does. Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

You may already be an experienced TA or SEND LSA, or perhaps you’ve gained valuable skills through support work, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, health and social care, residential care, nursery work or similar roles. We welcome applicants who are patient, adaptable, nurturing and confident supporting children with a range of learning and additional needs. You’ll need GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, strong communication skills, and availability to work during school hours. A full driving licence and access to transport would be beneficial due to the nature of school-based assignments.
