This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.
In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Team.
This is a pro-rata post. so the salary you will be receiving is £20,186.75 per annum.
** Hybrid working can be possible occasionally; and there is a requirement to travel to other sites to cover open events, so a driving licence is essential **

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within ‘Regulated Activity’ within a specific place (i.e. the College).

BACKGROUND TO THE POST
The Admissions Team is key function within the college, providing various services to internal and external stakeholders. For all application queries the team are the main point of contact and receive enquiries via email, telephone and face to face. It is of paramount importance that any enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner to ensure complete satisfaction for the service users and supporting the college’s strategic objectives.
The post holder will be responsible for data processing and all administrative aspects of the admissions team which will include contact with potential and current students, parents of both existing and potential students as well as colleagues within the college and all other stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handling and progressing course enquiries with appropriate information, advice and guidance, with a view to maximising opportunity for application or appropriate case closure.
• Using the college Management Information system to log customer interactions and build relevant customer profile information for communications and tracking purposes.
• Using the MI system to track and progress applications for Further and Higher Education courses through key stages and ensure appropriate communications.
• Continually developing a knowledge base of the college’s portfolio of provision to be equipped to offer timely ‘one-stop’ information on Further Education and Higher Education courses thus reducing transfer of enquiries to other departments.
• Supporting delivery of key recruitment events such as open days, interviews, and enrolment – supporting these activities will require commitment to work out of normal business working hours.
• Liaising closely with Returns, Analysis and Process Officers and the Data Operations Administrators
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties. The College will provide training.

Essential Attainments:
✓GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
✓A UK driving licence free of major endorsements and the use of a motor vehicle as travel between sites will be required
✓Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications.
✓Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
✓Able to work to set deadlines
✓Effective time management
Essential Key Experience & Attributes:
✓Experience of providing Information & Advice and of signposting to Guidance services
✓Experience of working in a target-driven environment to secure sales/recruitment opportunities
✓Experience of working with both internal and external stakeholders.
✓Experience of working in an administrative role in an FE college or Training Provider
