Supply teaching
Daily supply teaching jobs tend to follow the same core teaching responsibilities as a permanent teacher. Within this role, you’re expected to follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher and teach pupils in accordance with the national curriculum.
Within this role, you are expected to be adaptable to different teaching methods that match the school placement. Supply teaching jobs allow you to work with lots of different children at different levels in their development. Daily tasks will vary from day to day, depending on your school placement.
Long term supply teaching jobs will usually involve the same responsibilities as a permanent teacher including planning, marking and assessment.
Within a long term supply role, you are treated as one of the school team albeit you are not employed by them. We will liaise with the school from the outset to get you pay parity, usually to scale from day one.
