Secondary schools across Thurrock are seeking Cover Supervisors to support with staff absence and planned cover. This role offers the opportunity to work in a school setting without the pressures of lesson planning or marking, while still playing an important part in students’ education. You’ll supervise classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials, ensuring a safe, calm and productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate
You’ll be confident working with young people and comfortable leading a classroom. Previous school experience is helpful but not essential — we also welcome applicants from youth work, sports coaching, care, or graduate backgrounds. A calm, consistent approach, good behaviour management and a willingness to learn are essential.
