Are you a qualified or experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in friendly, well-supported primary school settings? We are expanding our pool of fantastic HLTAs across Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding villages and would love to hear from you! About the Role We work closely with a range of local primary schools who regularly require high-quality HLTA support. If you enjoy variety, autonomy and being booked with notice, this role offers you the perfect balance of flexibility and stability. Assignments can include: Leading whole-class teaching from the teacher’s plans Providing planned and unplanned absence cover Delivering small-group interventions Taking responsibility for a subject area where appropriate Supporting pupils across EYFS–KS2 Building strong working relationships with multiple schools Work is term-time only, with opportunities ranging from 1 to 5 days per week, depending on your availability.

The ideal candidate

To be considered, you must have: Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English and Maths Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel between settings required) A genuine passion for supporting learning and leading from the front of the classroom Highly desirable: Level 5 HLTA Qualification Or significant proven experience working as an HLTA/cover supervisor in primary settings What We Offer Bookings with notice, not same‑day call-outs A variety of daily supply or longer-term supply contract opportunities Support from a friendly, specialist education recruitment team Competitive weekly pay Flexible working that fits your lifestyle
