Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in Stowmarket? We are seeking a confident and engaging Year 5/6 Supply Teacher to support local primary schools with day-to-day cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a variety of school settings while helping pupils prepare for the transition to secondary education. About the Schools You will be working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Stowmarket. These schools are committed to creating positive learning environments where pupils are encouraged to become independent, resilient learners. As a supply teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring pupils remain engaged and motivated during staff absences. The Role As a Year 5/6 Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support pupils in reaching their learning objectives. You will be confident teaching across the Upper KS2 curriculum and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. The role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on pupils during a key stage in their education. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Years 5 and 6. Maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. Follow school policies and classroom routines. Manage behaviour consistently and professionally. Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons covered.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships quickly. You will have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and be confident supporting pupils with varying learning needs.
