Are you a knowledgeable and engaging Humanities Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in Stowmarket? We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Supply Teacher to work within supportive secondary schools, covering lessons on a supply basis with the potential for longer-term placements. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy inspiring students across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education while gaining experience in a variety of educational settings. About the Schools You will be working with welcoming and inclusive secondary schools that are committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a broad understanding of the world. These schools provide supportive learning environments where staff work collaboratively to help students achieve both academically and personally. As a supply teacher, you will play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining positive classroom experiences for pupils. The Role You will deliver engaging Humanities lessons, follow school planning where provided, and maintain a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will be confident adapting to different schools, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and encouraging students to develop their understanding of historical, geographical, and cultural topics. Longer-term opportunities may involve planning, assessment, and contributing to departmental activities.

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a passionate and adaptable teacher who can bring Humanities subjects to life in the classroom. You will have strong communication skills, excellent classroom management abilities, and the confidence to build positive relationships quickly with students and colleagues. Experience teaching one or more Humanities subjects within a secondary setting is highly desirable, and QTS is preferred.
