4myschools are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and highly regarded primary school in Basildon for a talented and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join their team from January 2027 on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week. This fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to work within a nurturing and inclusive school community that is well respected locally and committed to providing enriching learning experiences for every child. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons, planning and assessing learning in line with the National Curriculum, creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment, and working closely with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils. You will be expected to differentiate learning effectively, monitor progress, contribute to wider school life and uphold a child-centred ethos where the needs of pupils remain at the heart of everything you do. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm on your allocated teaching days during term time.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers who are passionate about inspiring young learners and promoting a love of education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom practice, strong behaviour management skills, effective communication abilities and a commitment to meeting the needs of all children, including those requiring additional support. Candidates should hold a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English, possess a flexible and positive approach to teaching, and be available to commence the role in January 2027. Due to the location and nature of the role, access to reliable transport would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has high expectations for pupil achievement, and is committed to ongoing professional development and making a positive contribution to the wider school community.
