New opening! Learning Support Assistant (LSA)- Primary School – Chelmsford
4myschools are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed individual who enjoys supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development within a stimulating primary school environment. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support staff, you will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential, delivering targeted interventions, supporting classroom learning activities, preparing resources, monitoring pupil progress and providing additional support for children who may require assistance with learning, behaviour or special educational needs. You will contribute to creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed. The role is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time only, and offers consistency within a supportive school community.

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be motivated and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting and be confident supporting pupils across a range of ages and abilities. Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering intervention programmes or supporting the National Curriculum would be highly advantageous. Applicants must hold a minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths and demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills. A positive, patient and proactive approach is essential, along with a genuine passion for helping children succeed. Candidates should be available for the full duration of the long-term placement and, due to varying school locations, access to reliable transport is desirable. This role would suit someone who enjoys becoming a valued member of a school team and making a real difference to children’s learning outcomes.
