A secondary school in Wellingborough is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a classroom environment or providing tutoring support, and should be comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons to students from Year 7 through to Year 11. You will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour, delivering set work in a calm and structured manner, and completing basic marking to ensure learning objectives are met.
The ideal candidate
This position would suit someone with Teaching Assistant experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility, or a graduate interested in exploring a career in teaching. If you have expertise in a particular subject area, the school will do its best to align you with relevant lessons. However, flexibility is essential, as you will be required to cover a range of subjects as needed. For candidates with a strong specialism, there may be opportunities in future to secure a role within a specific department as your experience within the school grows.
