We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable KS1 Supply Teachers to support a range of welcoming primary schools in the Poringland area with day‑to‑day cover, starting as soon as possible. About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate for KS1 day‑to‑day supply work in the Poringland area is someone who brings warmth, flexibility, and a calm, confident presence into every classroom. They will hold QTS and have strong experience teaching within KS1, with the ability to step into Year 1 and Year 2 settings and quickly establish routines that help pupils feel settled and supported. They’re adaptable and proactive, able to deliver engaging lessons, follow existing plans, or create their own when needed, all while maintaining a positive learning environment. Strong phonics knowledge, clear communication, and consistent behaviour management are essential, along with the ability to build quick rapport with pupils and staff. Most importantly, they’re reliable, professional, and genuinely enjoy the variety and pace that supply work offers, representing themselves — and the schools they support — to a high standard each day.
