About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate is a warm, enthusiastic KS1 practitioner who brings both creativity and consistency to the classroom, helping young learners feel secure, motivated, and excited about school. They hold QTS, have strong experience within Key Stage 1, and understand how to deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that support early reading, writing, and maths development. They build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues, communicate clearly, and contribute actively to the wider school community. They are reflective, organised, and committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Above all, they bring energy, kindness, and a genuine passion for early education to their new permanent role in Thetford.
