An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Sudbury based Primary School, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 (Years 4, 5, and 6), helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. This is a term-time only position, offering the chance to make a real difference in the lives of pupils during their crucial upper primary years, in a welcoming and supportive environment committed to helping every child succeed. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential classroom support to pupils in Years 4, 5, and 6. Your role will involve assisting with small group work and delivering individual interventions to help children reach their full potential. You will encourage positive learning behaviours and support pupils’ social and communication development, ensuring they feel confident and engaged in their learning. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a range of abilities and needs.

The ideal candidate
As the successful applicant you will have previous experience working with KS2 pupils. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, as is the ability to motivate and support children with varying needs. A positive, proactive approach to learning and development, and knowledge of a range of strategies, will help you thrive in this role and make a real difference to the pupils you work with.
