Immediate opportunity! Learning Support Assistant (LSA)- Prmary School – Ingatstone

4myschools are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Ingatestone area for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and compassionate individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential within a nurturing educational environment. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions and personalised learning strategies. Your role will involve providing consistent 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs, helping to develop their academic progress, social interaction, communication skills and emotional wellbeing. You will adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, encourage independence, implement behaviour support strategies where required and contribute to maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues will be central to the success of this role.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will have proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis, with a strong understanding of how to adapt support to meet individual learning requirements. Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, or other additional needs would be highly advantageous. Applicants must hold a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate patience, resilience and professionalism. Candidates should be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time only and due to the location.
