A specialist SEND school in Harlow is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive and nurturing team. The school provides a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping every child to develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills. Staff work collaboratively to deliver personalised support and celebrate each pupil’s individual achievements, creating a positive atmosphere where children can thrive both academically and socially.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. Previous experience working with children in a school, care, or support setting would be beneficial, although a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. You should be able to build strong relationships with pupils, adapt to individual learning needs, and work effectively as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential are essential. All applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check and provide satisfactory references before employment can commence. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential for this role.
