Immediate opportunity! Maths Teacher – Basildon

A secondary school in Basildon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from 1st January 2027. This is a full-time, ongoing position teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Mathematics, offering an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). The role is paid on the Main Pay Scale (MPS 1-6) and includes full teaching responsibilities within a supportive secondary education setting. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ progress and attainment while contributing to the wider school community.

• Contract duration: Temporary (Long Term)
• Contract type: FULL_TIME – Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
• Age groups: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a committed Maths Teacher who can inspire students and promote a positive attitude towards learning Mathematics. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities.
