Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for flexible supply work with the possibility of securing a longer-term role? We are working with a number of secondary schools in Bury St Edmunds seeking confident and engaging Maths Teachers to provide high-quality classroom cover on a daily supply basis, with opportunities that may develop into longer-term placements. About the Schools The schools are supportive and well-established secondary settings that value high standards of teaching and learning. Staff work collaboratively to create positive learning environments where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence in mathematics and achieve their potential. As a supply teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role You will deliver engaging Maths lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain focused and motivated during lessons. Whether covering planned absence or providing longer-term support, you will adapt quickly to different school environments and maintain high standards of teaching and learning. Lesson plans may be provided, although some planning and marking could be required for longer-term assignments.

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who is adaptable, organised, and passionate about helping students succeed in mathematics. The successful candidate will be confident teaching across a range of abilities and able to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to delivering engaging lessons are essential.
