A friendly school in Colchester is seeking a flexible and adaptable teacher to provide regular PPA cover across multiple year groups. These schools work closely with 4myschools and have an excellent reputation for their warm, welcoming atmosphere, well-behaved children, and strong SEND support provisions. This role offers the chance to build ongoing relationships with both staff and pupils, giving you the benefits of supply work with the camaraderie of being part of a school community. All planning is provided, but you will need to be confident moving between year groups – for example, teaching Year 1 in the morning and Year 5 in the afternoon – while maintaining a positive presence that engages children right from the start.

The ideal candidate
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT looking to build confidence and experience across the full primary age range. The successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and eager to adapt quickly to different classes and routines. They will have a positive approach to classroom management and a natural ability to engage children from the start. Support will be provided, and all planning is in place, allowing the candidate to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and developing strong relationships with staff and pupils.
