4myschools is recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher to join a respected specialist education setting supporting children and young people with complex special educational needs and disabilities. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for an educator who is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences and helping pupils achieve their full potential. This specialist setting provides education for learners with a range of complex needs, including significant physical, communication and learning difficulties. Supported by a multidisciplinary team of education, care, health and therapy professionals, the school delivers a highly personalised curriculum designed to develop communication, independence and essential life skills. Speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy are fully integrated into the educational approach, ensuring every learner receives the specialist support they need. The setting benefits from excellent specialist facilities, extensive outdoor learning spaces and a nurturing environment where positive relationships and high expectations underpin pupil success. As the successful teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs, assessing progress, adapting teaching strategies and working collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families. You will create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes communication, confidence, independence and wellbeing. The role also involves contributing to EHCP targets, supporting pupils with complex learning needs and ensuring that every learner can access a broad and meaningful curriculum. Experience teaching pupils with autism, physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or complex communication needs would be highly advantageous.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a SEN School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have previous experience teaching children or young people with complex SEND needs. Applications are welcomed from teachers with backgrounds in specialist schools, mainstream SEND provisions, alternative provisions or those with relevant SEND expertise and a genuine passion for inclusive education. You must have strong communication skills, a patient and adaptable approach, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must hold a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Mathematics. Due to the rural location of the setting and unreliable public transport links, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. This position is available on a full-time basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.
