An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join an established SRB unit supporting children across EYFS and KS1 for the upcoming summer term. This well‑resourced, nurturing provision is seeking a dedicated practitioner who can deliver high‑quality, child‑centred teaching to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, communication skills, and strong foundations for learning. The role is ideally full‑time for 5 days per week, though applications from outstanding teachers available for 4 days will also be warmly considered. Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be committed and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of early childhood development and the specific needs of pupils within EYFS and KS1. They bring a nurturing, child‑centred approach and are confident delivering tailored learning to children with a range of additional needs, including communication difficulties, social‑emotional challenges, and developmental delays. They are skilled at creating structured, engaging lessons that support both academic and personal growth, while working closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and progress. A solid understanding of EHCPs, early intervention strategies, and inclusive classroom practice is essential. The ideal candidate is organised, reflective, and adaptable, able to build trusting relationships and maintain a calm, positive learning environment. Reliability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to collaborative working are key, and experience within specialist or SRB settings is highly desirable.
