New opportunity! SEND LSA – Northampton
At 4myschools, we are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN provision in Northampton for a committed and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive and inclusive setting that caters for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including complex learning difficulties, autism and social, emotional and mental health needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing and purpose-built environment, where pupils benefit from small class sizes, personalised learning pathways and a strong emphasis on developing independence, communication and life skills. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored learning activities in line with each pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). In this role, you will support pupils to access a broad and engaging curriculum, adapting resources and teaching approaches to suit individual needs. You will help manage behaviour positively, promote emotional regulation and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils. The position will also involve supporting pupils with their social development and, where required, assisting with personal care to ensure their wellbeing and dignity at all times. You will contribute to monitoring progress, feeding back to teaching staff and helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
