Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School, Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in site maintenance, caretaking, facilities management, property maintenance, a trade profession or a similar hands-on role. They will be practical, proactive and take pride in maintaining safe, secure and well-presented environments. A strong understanding of general building maintenance, health and safety procedures and basic repair work would be highly beneficial. They will be a reliable and trustworthy individual who can work independently, manage their own workload and use their initiative to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they become larger problems. Strong communication skills are important, as the role involves working closely with school leaders, staff, contractors and visitors. The successful candidate will be flexible, organised and willing to support the day-to-day operational needs of a busy school. They will enjoy being part of a school community and understand the importance of providing a safe and welcoming environment in which pupils can learn and staff can work effectively. Previous experience working within a school setting is advantageous but not essential.
