About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, and have experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting. They will demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills, alongside excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities. A flexible, adaptable, and professional approach to teaching is essential, as is a genuine passion for Physical Education and supporting the health, wellbeing, and development of young people. Candidates must also hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate preferably registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
