We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Ware that is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team. You will work alongside classroom teachers to support students across a range of subjects, helping them to engage with their learning, build confidence and make positive progress. The role may involve supporting students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or within the wider classroom, including pupils who may need additional academic, emotional or SEN support. The school provides an inclusive and positive learning environment where staff work together to ensure every student is given the encouragement and support they need to succeed.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be patient, approachable and enthusiastic about supporting young people with their education. Previous experience working within a secondary school or supporting young people would be beneficial, and experience with SEN is desirable but not essential. You should be confident building positive relationships with students, able to adapt your approach to different needs and comfortable supporting learning across a variety of subjects. A calm, proactive and encouraging attitude is important, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
