We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join a secondary school in the Sawbridgeworth area. This is an exciting opportunity to teach A Level Sociology within a supportive and welcoming learning environment. The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, with an immediate start and is expected to continue on an ongoing basis.

• Contract duration: Ongoing
• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8.30 – 3.15
• Age groups: Key Stage 5

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and dedicated Sociology Teacher with the ability to motivate and engage sixth form students. You will have excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills. Experience teaching Sociology at A Level is essential, along with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for learners. You should be adaptable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a wider teaching team. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification is required.
