This role is based in a primary school in Brentwood, supporting a Year 3 class within a lower KS2 setting. The school offers a well‑established learning environment where routines are clear and pupils are encouraged to develop independence and confidence as they move through KS2. Staff work collaboratively and provide clear guidance, allowing teachers to focus on delivering learning effectively across the school day. The role plays an important part in maintaining continuity and progress for pupils during the placement.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This position would suit a teacher who is comfortable working with Year 3 pupils and understands the transition from KS1 into KS2. You will be confident delivering lessons in line with existing planning while supporting pupils to develop key skills in a structured and supportive way. A calm, organised approach and the ability to build positive relationships quickly will help you establish strong classroom routines. Flexibility and professionalism will support success in this role.

Requirements for this role
