You will be working across a variety of primary and secondary school settings in the Witham area, supporting physical education delivery within structured and well-managed environments. These schools promote active, inclusive learning and recognise the importance of PE in supporting pupil wellbeing as well as physical development. Staff teams are generally welcoming, with clear expectations in place to help supply teachers integrate smoothly into the school day. Lessons are typically pre-planned, allowing you to focus on delivery and pupil engagement.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be confident leading physical activities and creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere where pupils feel encouraged to participate. A flexible and adaptable approach is important, as you will be working in different school environments. Strong behaviour management and clear communication skills will help ensure lessons run smoothly. Candidates who enjoy variety and can quickly build rapport with pupils will be well suited to this role.

What you’ll need to apply

Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Experience delivering PE lessons in a school setting is preferred. 
Ability to manage groups safely in active environments is essential. 
A relevant teaching qualification or sports-related background is advantageous.
