You will be working across a range of primary schools, each offering a slightly different environment but with a shared focus on maintaining consistent routines and positive classroom experiences for pupils. These settings are typically inclusive and well-organised, supporting visiting staff with clear expectations and accessible resources. As a supply teacher, you will step into established classrooms to deliver continuity in learning during staff absence. The role allows you to experience different school cultures while contributing to maintaining a calm and productive atmosphere.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be flexible and confident, able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups within primary education. A calm and approachable manner is important, allowing you to build rapport with pupils and manage behaviour effectively from the outset. You should feel comfortable delivering pre-set work and keeping pupils engaged throughout the day. Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude will help ensure smooth transitions between lessons and schools.

Essential requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Previous experience working within primary schools is desirable. 
Confidence covering a range of year groups across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 is beneficial. 
A good understanding of classroom management strategies is expected.
