This primary school offers a well-structured Key Stage 2 environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence, resilience and confidence in their learning. The staff team work collaboratively to maintain clear expectations across upper primary classes, ensuring consistency even when regular teachers are absent. As a supply teacher, you will support the smooth running of the school day by delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining established routines. The school promotes a calm and respectful atmosphere where adaptability and professionalism are highly valued.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be confident working across Key Stage 2 and able to quickly adjust to different classroom settings. A flexible approach is essential, with the ability to deliver lessons effectively while keeping pupils engaged and on task. You should be comfortable following planning provided by the school and managing classroom behaviour independently. Strong communication skills will help you build positive relationships with both pupils and staff during short-term placements

Essential requirements

Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Flexible availability to support supply needs during term time. 
Recent experience teaching within KS2 is preferred. 
Confident delivering core subjects including English and Maths.
