A secondary school in Peterborough is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time position for one term initially, teaching Science across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level classes. You will assess student progress, provide effective feedback, and contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning throughout the department.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Have experience teaching Science at GCSE level and the ability to teach A Level. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Science. Build positive relationships with students and create an engaging learning environment. Be committed to achieving excellent outcomes for learners. Work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team.

Essential requirements

Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Ability to teach across more than one Science specialism would be advantageous. 
Experience preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations is desirable. 
Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a new school environment.
