About the Schools You will be supporting a range of secondary schools that are committed to creating engaging learning environments where students can thrive. These schools place a strong focus on developing literacy skills, critical thinking, and a love of reading and writing. As a supply teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students remain motivated and supported throughout their lessons. The Role As an English Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, follow school planning where provided, and create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and participation. You will support students in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement. Long-term opportunities may include planning, marking, assessment responsibilities, and becoming an integral member of the department.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

You will be adaptable, organised, and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities are essential.
