This is a welcoming primary school setting that provides a consistent and supportive environment for pupils across the school day. Staff work collaboratively to ensure lessons run smoothly, even when covering different classes, with a strong focus on maintaining routine and positive behaviour. The role will involve moving between classes as needed, supporting continuity of learning when regular teachers are unavailable. The school promotes a calm, inclusive atmosphere where flexibility and teamwork are valued.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be adaptable and confident stepping into a variety of classroom situations at short notice. They will be comfortable following lesson plans, engaging pupils, and maintaining clear expectations for behaviour and learning. A proactive approach and the ability to quickly build rapport with children and staff are important for this flexible role. Experience within a primary setting is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to get involved are equally valued.

Essential requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Must be comfortable covering different year groups across the primary age range. 
Able to manage classroom routines independently using provided plans. 
Flexible availability to support part-time cover needs during term time.
