4myschools is working in partnership with a range of supportive and inclusive local schools, who are seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for university graduates considering a future career in teaching and looking to gain valuable, hands‑on experience within the classroom. As a supply Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers across the school day, working with pupils in mainstream classrooms and through targeted 1:1 or small‑group support. You may be supporting children or young people with a range of additional needs, including SEND, helping them to access learning, remain engaged and build confidence. Responsibilities may include assisting with lesson delivery, supporting behaviour and emotional regulation, adapting resources, supervising activities and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. This role offers a flexible and practical route into education, allowing graduates to build experience, confidence and insight into school life while working around other commitments.

• Contract type: PART_TIME, TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary and Secondary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate who is enthusiastic about education and motivated to take their first steps towards a teaching or education‑based career. We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience working or volunteering with children or adults, including those with SEND, as well as graduates with strong transferable skills and a genuine interest in progressing into teaching. All candidates must be open to completing voluntary work placements as part of their onboarding process with 4myschools, which provides valuable classroom exposure, supports safeguarding compliance and helps candidates gain confidence before undertaking paid supply roles. You will be adaptable, reliable and confident in building positive relationships, with a calm and proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing. Availability for day‑to‑day supply work is essential, with flexibility to accept placements to suit your schedule. Due to the location of some schools, access to your own transport is desirable. A commitment to safeguarding, professionalism and a willingness to learn are key qualities for success in this role. This opportunity is particularly well suited to graduates exploring routes such as PGCE, School‑Based Teacher Training or SEND‑focused careers.
